Kitchen Renovation & Kitchen Fitters in London

Planning a new kitchen, a refit or a full kitchen remodel? Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll try to pass your enquiry to an independent kitchen fitter or contractor who covers your area. We don’t carry out the work ourselves.

Kitchens and other remodels

Kitchen jobs, and other remodels you can ask about

Most enquiries here are about kitchens, from a straight refit to knocking through for open-plan living. You can also ask about bathrooms and whole-home remodels.

Rethink, don't relocate

Remodelling the home you already love

Moving is expensive and disruptive. Often the same money spent remodelling the house you have, by turning a dark galley kitchen into an open family room or a box room into an en-suite, delivers a better home in the area you already know. Describe the idea and we’ll try to find a contractor to price it.

The remodel process

How a remodel comes together

What happens to your enquiry, and how a well-planned remodel comes together.

  1. Your enquiry

Tell us which rooms and what you’d like to change. We try to pass it to an independent contractor; we can’t promise every enquiry is taken up.

  2. Understand & plan

If a contractor can help, they look at how you use each room and suggest layout options, with structural input if walls move.

  3. Price

Ask for an itemised quote with allowances for kitchens, sanitaryware and finishes.

  4. Remodel

Strip-out, structure, services and finishes, carried out by the contractor you hire. Your contract is with them, not us.

  5. Handover

Snagging, a final clean and a walk-through, before you pay the final balance.

What to look for

How to remodel with fewer surprises

Older London homes hide things, so choose a contractor who plans for them.

Layout thinking

Look for a focus on flow, light and storage, not just new surfaces.

Defined scope

Exactly what’s included should be written down before work begins.

Decision schedule

Ask when kitchen, tile and fitting choices are needed so nothing holds up the job.

Protecting your home

Agree dust screens, floor protection and clear working areas if you’re living around the works.

Compliance covered

Structural changes, electrics and drainage should be signed off properly; ask for the certificates.

Check insurance first

Contractors work independently of this site, so ask for their insurance paperwork before work is scheduled.

Across London

Remodelling enquiries from all London boroughs

Send a remodelling enquiry for a house or flat anywhere in Greater London.

Kitchen remodels in Victorian terraces often mean moving the kitchen into the old dining room. In flats, remodelling usually involves freeholder or managing-agent consent and careful sound insulation, and many families want the ground floor opened into one sociable space.

Any home visit is arranged directly between you and the contractor.
